A shooting in Georgetown is being investigated by the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS).
On Monday March 3rd, between 4:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m., several gunshots were fired at a detached residence in the area of Highway 7 and Trafalgar Road. Fortunately, no one was injured and the shots struck a window at the front of the home. Police believe the shots were fired from Highway 7 towards the home.
Investigators believe the shooting was targeted and there is no ongoing related threat to public safety.
Investigators are looking for any dash cam footage of the area between the hours of 3:00 a.m. – 5:00 a.m. on March 3rd. Police would also like to speak with anyone who may have been in the area and seen anything suspicious.
