Simcoe County’s Age-Friendly Housing Grant program is returning for its eighth year.
Launched as part of the Simcoe County 2018-2023 Positive Aging Strategy, the program approved 95 applications in 2024 and has supported over 440 projects in its first seven years.
Grants will be awarded in three categories: accessible housing for seniors, designs for individuals with dementia, and housing with enhanced accessibility features exceeding basic regulations.
The Grants opens March 1st, with $500,000 in funding available to help seniors maintain their independence through accessible, adaptable, and inclusive housing designs.
