Saturday, March 8th is International Women’s Day.
To celebrate the day, Halton Women’s Place is hosting their annual International Women’s Day luncheon. Every year, this event features a guest speaker, vendor marketplace showcasing women-led businesses, and a hot buffet lunch.
This year’s guest speaker is Dr. Samra Zafar. She’s an award-winning international speaker, bestselling author, and resident psychiatrist.
International Women’s Day is a global day to recognize and celebrate women’s and girls’ social, economic, cultural, and political achievements. It’s also a time to raise awareness of the progress made towards achieving gender equality and the work remaining to be done.
The luncheon is being held on Thursday, March 6th, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Burlington, located at 3063 South Service Road Burlington.
