An Oakville woman is celebrating after winning the lottery!
Lonnie Elsayed has $77,769.40 to put toward her dreams after winning a Lotto Max second prize in the Tuesday, January 7th draw.
The mother of two and grandmother of four is a weekly lottery player. While she has enjoyed some modest wins in the past, nothing could have prepared her for the thrill of her first big win!
“I was checking my ticket at the store when I found out I’d won. I was excited, stunned, and overwhelmed with happiness, all at the same time,” Lonnie recalled, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim her winnings. “I told my husband the news, and he was sure I was joking.”
Her plan is to share the money with her kids and take a nice vacation with her husband.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Rabba Fine Foods on Marlborough Court in Oakville.
