The Milton Menace had a rough finish to a close game over the weekend.
It was a day game at the Milton Memorial Arena on Sunday, February 9th. The Menace welcomed in the Toronto Patriots. They got on the board early with Madden MacDougall scoring his 20th of the season, assisted by Justin Dezoete and Luke Johnston. Toronto would get one back before the end of the period to make it 1-1 after one.
No goals were scored in the second period, but the Patriots outshot the Menace 11-5. Part of that could be the three powerplays Toronto was able to get. It was 1-1 heading into the final frame.
16-year-old Ryder Cali would score his 19th of the season, assisted by Johnston and Captain Graeme MacAuley. With less than a minute to go, the Menace would give up a pair of goals. That would seal the 3-2 win for the Patriots.
Carter Bickle was in net for Milton. He stopped 30 of 33 shots, giving him a .909% save percentage.
The Menace have a quick turnaround, taking on the Wellington Dukes at home on Tuesday, February 11th. Puck drop at the Milton Memorial Arena is set for 2:00 p.m. Buy your tickets for any/all home games here.
