Police are searching for someone who decided to start the year off with some free alcohol.
Problem is, it wasn’t supposed to be free.
Nottawasaga OPP are investigating a shoplifting incident on January 3 at the LCBO located on Dunham Drive in Alliston.
Witnesses indicate a man was seen entering the store and after roaming the isles, picked up several cases of liquor, and went out the back door.
That person was then seen loading the items into a dark coloured passenger vehicle and fleeing the store.
24 bottles of liquor were taken, at a loss of over $2300.
Shortly after, Officers received another call for service at the LCBO on Young Street .
Store employees had already been made aware of the incident.
The man asked about Tequila at which time he was asked to leave.
Police say he got into a black dodge charger that was waiting.
