The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) busted a man for breaking into an Oakville business overnight.
On Monday, December 2nd, at roughly 11:38 p.m., officers responded to a break and enter in progress at the Used Tire Depot at 273 Speers Road in Oakville.
Upon arrival, officers located one suspect inside the fence line attempting to steal tires from the business. The suspect attempted to flee the area and, after a short on-foot pursuit, was taken into custody.
As a result of the on-scene investigation, 41-year-old Randy Michael Potter of Oakville was arrested and charged with the following:
- Break and Enter with Intent
- Possession of Break In Instruments
- Disguise with Intent
- Obstruct Peace Officer
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Allegation of Breach of Conditional Sentence Order
Potter has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
