The snow clearing has been ongoing in the Muskoka Region.
With over 140 cm of the white stuff, a section of Highway 11 was closed to traffic after vehicles became stuck and had to be rescued by OPP on snow machines.
Police are hoping to reopening a portion of Hwy 11 between Orillia and Huntsville during the noon-hour today (dec2).
OPP indicate the Northbound lanes at West Street will be the first to open to traffic.
The Southbound lanes are expected to open from Highway 60 in Huntsville later today.
Drivers are cautioned there will be limited access to entrance and exit ramps.
