The Milton Menace had a rough start to their weekend.
On Friday, November 8th, the team welcomed the Buffalo Jr. Sabres to the Milton Memorial Arena on Forces Appreciation Night. Buffalo managed to open the score, and continued to score as the game went along. Before the Menace knew it, they were down 4-0 in the third period.
Kyle Burton would be the one to break the seal for Milton, with his 4th of the year assisted by Madden MacDougall and 16-year-old Ryder Cali. Dean Deligeorgis then continued the comeback, netting his 3rd of the year, with help from Burton and Cole Semeniuk. Before the end of the game, Marco Costante brought the game within one goal. His 4th of he season was assisted by Cali and Alexandr Siletskiy. That’d be all she wrote, however, as the Sabres would beat the Menace 4-3.
In net for Milton was Ethan Kowatsch. He stopped 16 of 20 shots, giving him an even .800% save percentage.
The next day, the Menace found themselves on the road to face the Toronto Patriots.
Saturday was more their day, as the Menace scored first and never let up. Nathan Catalano opened the scoring in the first period. His 4th of the season was assisted by Marco Costante. A few minutes later, Ryder Cali potted his 11th of the season, assisted by Gabriel Ciarallo and Alessandro Petreccia. Milton led 2-0 after 20-minutes of action.
In the second period, Ashtyn Pacheco continued the scoring with his 5th of the year, assisted by Ivan Fabjan. Shortly after, Kyle Burton continued his good weekend with his 5th of the season, assisted by Owen Kindree and Costante. Cali score again before the end of the period. His 12th goal, assisted by Gabriel Ciarallo and Captain Graeme MacAuley, made it 5-0 Menace after two periods.
The Cap would get in on the scoring in the final frame, as MacAuley scored his 4th of the year, assisted by Kindree and Burton. The Menace beat the Patriots 6-0.
Getting the shutout for Milton was Austin McKillop.
