Canadian Veterans and current full-time members of the Canadian Armed Forces will soon be able to use GO Transit at no cost.
The program is set to begin March 1st of next year (2025).
There are also plans in the works to extend that free fare to those who utilize UP-Express.
The provincial government is also increasing the amount that eligible veterans and their family members can receive through the Soldiers’ Aid Commission from $2,000 to $3,000.
