The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) played a part in a Mississauga drug bust.
On Thursday, October 24th, officers from the HRPS and Peel Regional Police executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (C.D.S.A) at a residence within the complex of 3340 Ponytrail Drive in Mississauga.
As a result of the warrant, police seized nearly $40,000 worth of drugs, including:
- 255 grams of suspected cocaine
- 21 grams of suspected fentanyl
- 12.13 grams of suspected methamphetamine
- 171 suspected hydromorphone tablets
- 10.15 grams of suspected Hash oil
A large quantity of stolen power tools valuing more than $70,000 was also recovered during the search warrant. Police believe they are linked to several thefts or break and enters within Mississauga and investigators are working to identify the victims.
44-year-old Acesia Ali of Mississauga was arrested and charged with the following Criminal offences:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (x3)
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
A 33-year-old Mississauga woman was also arrested. She has been charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
This investigation remains ongoing and more charges are expected to be laid.
