The Milton Menace got a big win over their North Halton rival!
On Wednesday, October 23rd, the Menace went down the road to play the Georgetown Raiders at the Mold Masters Sportsplex. Things started off poorly for the Menace as Georgetown was able to get a late lead in the first period to head into the intermission up 1-0.
Fortunately, the second period was all Milton. Ashtyn Pacheco buried his 4th goal of the season, with help from Alessandro Petreccia and Ivan Fabjan. 11 minutes later, Marco Costante scored his 2nd of the year, with Fabjan and Pacheco getting the apples. The Menace would take a 2-1 lead into the final frame.
In the third period, Madden MacDougall scored his 4th of the year, assisted by 16-year-old star Ryder Cali and the new guy, Spencer Vandenberg. That gave the Menace a two-goal lead, which they’d need as the Raiders were able to get one back late on the powerplay. Milton held them off, and picked up the 3-2 win over Georgetown.
In net on Wednesday was Ethan Kowatsch. He had a relatively light night, stopping just 16 of 18 shots for an .888% save percentage.
The Menace return home on Friday, October 25th. They take on the Burlington Cougars. Buy your tickets for any/all home games here.
