How do you feel about stream cheating?
My mother-in-law was saying that she started watching ‘The Bear’ with my father-in-law. He wasn’t into it, so they took a break from it. Turns out, he ended up binging the whole show without her! She found out on the weekend when they got lunch with friends and the show came up in conversation.
What do you think? Is it a faux pas to watch a show on your own that you started as a couple?
Let me know!

ICYMI – Halton Learning Foundation helping hundreds of students with annual campaign
The Halton Learning Foundation is halfway through the annual fundraising campaign. The ‘Back to School’ campaign is collecting donations that will be provided to local families in need to help students pay for various items and experiences, including school supplies, clothes, and sports fees. There’s two weeks left in the campaign.
Daily WTF – Man discovers he’s been paying wrong utility bill for up to 18 years
How much does your energy bill cost you? Do you keep track of it? Are you mindful of your energy usage? For a long while, Ken Wilson in California didn’t really think about it. He’d pay his bill and go about his life. Recently, he received an abnormally high bill. He was confused because nothing about his usage had changed all that much. So, he bought a device that helped keep track of his energy, and it found that yes, his bill was not equating to his actual usage. So, he called in and after a bit of back-and-forth, it was discovered that he wasn’t actually paying for HIS bill. At some point, Wilson and his neighbour somehow got mixed up at the office, and they’ve been paying each other’s utility bill. It’s possible this has been going for nearly TWO DECADES! Since he lives alone, his bill should be lower than everyone else’s in the apartment complex, which means, in a weird way, he’s now getting a discount moving forward… Silver linings!

Beloved Milton restaurant is closing its doors this weekend
Milton’s popular ‘Heritage Fish and Chips’ is closing after 15 years. The restaurant announced its final day will be Sunday in a heartfelt message to customers on Facebook, expressing gratitude for the community’s support. Known for its fish and chips, as well as poutine, it was voted Milton’s favorite in our 2022 local series. The owners thanked patrons for the cherished memories and invited them to visit once more before closing.
Maple Leafs announce Oreo as new helmet sponsor for upcoming NHL season
For the last few weeks, there had been something off about the Toronto Maple Leafs, and I don’t just mean that they can’t win when it matters. No, I’m talking about the team’s marketing. Every single thing the team posted to social media, or had plastered in the streets, excluded the letter ‘O’. Their slogan, “Leafs Forever,” read simply as, “Leafs Frever.” Many wondered what exactly was going on with this. Well, we have our answer, and it’s not really all that fun. The team announced yesterday that they had found the missing Os, and they’re in the form of OREOs… The team will have OREO as their helmet sponsor for the upcoming season. The cookie brand will take over the spot that was previously filled by TikTok. It’s not a bad sponsorship, though, as they currently have the Dairy Farmers of Ontario’s “Milk” logo on their jerseys. Milk and cookies on Hockey Night in Canada? Sounds pretty okay to me…
GOOD NEWS – Ontario couple celebrates new baby and $70M lottery win
Someone won $80 million last night. While we don’t know who it was, we do know who won $70 million last month. Kyle Murray decided to buy his first Canadian lottery ticket in August. The American lives near Timmins, Ontario with his wife, Jennifer Stuart-Flynn. The two were returning home to the area with their newborn baby when they saw the skyhigh jackpot. They decided to celebrate with a lottery ticket. Murray and Stuart-Flynn now have $70 million! That’s a great way to welcome a baby into the world, and $70 million can go a long way in Timmins… They might even own half the city by now!
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs arrest: ‘Freak offs’ at center of sex trafficking, racketeering charges
Well, it finally happened. One of the biggest stories coming out of yesterday was that Sean Combs, ‘Diddy’, had been arrested. He’s facing sex trafficking and racketeering charges related to his infamous parties, among other offences connected to other incidents. According to reports, all kinds of items were seized in a raid yesterday, including multiple guns and ammunition, as well as roughly 1000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant (which is a hysterical amount). He was denied bail and is also facing multiple lawsuits. Not to mention, he’s still being connected to the deaths of Biggie and Tupac. Just last week, Eminem doubled down on previous accusations. So, after living a life of luxury the last few decades, it seems it’s all crumbling down for Diddy… And now it’s time to find out who exactly was in on all of this – and that could get very messy.
