A Milton soccer player has officially signed to play professional soccer in Italy.
Michela Ionadi had made the commitment earlier in the year to play with Ternana Women in Italy’s Serie B (second division). The move was made official this past week, marking a big step in her young career.
She began her soccer journey with the Milton Magic organization in 2009, with the team saying she has shown tremendous skill and dedication on the field.
“This is an extraordinary moment for Michela Ionadi and a proud day for our club,” says David Benning, Director of Soccer Operations of Milton Magic. “Their commitment to growth, both as a player and as a person, has been inspirational to everyone here. We are confident that they will excel at Ternana Women and continue to make Milton proud.”
Ionadi expressed her excitement about the new chapter.
“Signing with Ternana Women is a dream come true. I’ve been working hard for this moment, and I’m so grateful for the support from Milton Magic and my coaches. I can’t wait to take my game to the next level in Italy.”
Ternana Women, based in Terni, Italy, has a rich tradition and a dedicated fanbase, providing Ionadi with a unique opportunity to further develop their talent in a highly competitive environment. The club’s strong focus on nurturing young talent aligns with her ambitions, making this a perfect match for the next phase of their career.
The team won their game of the season this past weekend. Their next game is on Sunday, September 15th against Cesena Women.
