A Hamilton couple and their dog are dead following a collision at the intersection of Guelph Line and Lowville Park Road in Burlington.
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) responded to the scene at roughly 12:54 a.m. on Thursday, September 5th. Their report says a silver Mitsubishi sedan driven by a 47-year-old Hamilton man was travelling northbound on Guelph Line, north of Britannia Road. The sedan failed to negotiate the left turn in the road, slide off the roadway and struck a retaining wall. The driver was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries and pronounced dead. Also in the vehicle were a 41-year-old Hamilton woman and a small dog, They were also pronounced dead on scene.
The Halton Regional Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit has taken over the investigation.
