Milton’s Country Heritage Park was the location of FordFest on Friday, August 16th.
It was the first time the event was held in Milton, as it’s usually been an Etobicoke event over the last nearly 30 years.
There were rides, free food, and live music. Following the music was a rendition of ‘Oh Canada’, which led to speeches from Milton’s new Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) Zee Hamid, Milton Mayor Gord Krantz, and Premier of Ontario, Doug Ford.
WATCH:
The festival wasn’t without issues. Protesters lined up outside the park, waving signs and yelling at people as they entered the area. They were still there as people left. When speaking with the group, they raised concerns over the greenbelt, education, and the healthcare system.
