An unknown man is wanted after he trying to steal more than $1000 worth of items from a local hardware store.
Halton Police say on Saturday, July 13th, the man went into the Home Hardware store at 5111 New Street in Burlington. He selected numerous items, valued over $1,000 total, and placed them in a green, plastic bag. The man then left the store making no attempt to pay for the items.
Upon exiting the store, a store employee confronted the suspect and was able to recover the stolen items. The man then made violent threats before fleeing.
The HRPS describe the suspect as:
- Male
- 60-70 years old
- 5’10” tall
- 160-170 lbs.
- wearing a black and white flower shirt, dark blue jeans, and black shoes
