My dad was telling me about the Nickelback documentary on Netflix, and he said it’s good!
‘Hate to Love’ covers how passionate people are about the band, whether they love or hate them. Over the years, the band has gathered a massive dedicated fanbase while also, for some reason, angering seemingly everyone else.
Where do you stand on Nickelback? Do you love them or hate them?
Let me know!

ICYMI – PETA unveils “memorial” billboard in Milton for chickens killed in Highway crash
In case you were wondering if PETA was serious about this, they were! PETA has unveiled their “memorial” billboard for the chickens who were killed in a crash on the 401 earlier this month. The sign reads “I’m ME, not MEAT,” and shows a picture of a chicken. No word on how long the sign will be up but you can find it at the intersection of James Snow Parkway and Main Street East, near the plaza. Ironically enough, there’s a lot of restaurants in that plaza, including a McDonald’s… If online feedback is anything to be acknowledged, I’d imagine a lot of Chicken McNugget meals will be ordered after people see the sign.
Daily WTF – Couple salvages winning lottery ticket from trash
A South Carolina couple is thankful they double checked their work. They purchased a $5 scratch off lottery ticket at a nearby convenience store. The wife did the scratching, thought her ticket was a dud, and tossed in the trash bin. A little while later, while throwing something else out, the husband saw the ticket and realized she still had more work to do on the ticket. That realization won them $200,000, and they’re now looking for their dream house. This story has me second guessing every single lottery ticket I’ve ever thrown out. I’ll now triple check every single I buy moving forward, thank you very much.

You can be one of the greatest athletes on the planet and accidents will happen that immediately change your life. For Kevin Piette, he was paralyzed 11 years ago. He’s gone on to become a Paralympic athlete, but through a technological advancement, he was able to walk again, this time with the Olympic torch in hand. Using a futuristic exoskeleton, Piette was able to have his legs move, pushing him forward with each step. The video of the moment has gone viral on social media. After 11 years, he was able to walk with the Olympic torch… which is DEFINITELY some good news!
City council approves designation of downtown Toronto route as ‘Taylor Swift Way’ during ‘Eras Tour’
The City of Toronto is getting ready for a significant economic boom. Taylor Swift will be in the area this fall as she performs multiple nights at the Rogers Centre. In preparation for the chaos that is expected to follow her, Toronto Council voted yesterday to designate the route from Rogers Centre to Nathan Phillips Square as ‘Taylor Swift Way’. It was approved by 21-1 vote. Rogers Centre will also be labelled as 1 Taylor Swift Way while she’s in Toronto. Hey, she brings millions and millions of dollars to whichever city she’s performing in, she’s like economic adrenaline. If it means she gets a temporary street named after, fine, who cares. It’s not like the Blue Jays are making us proud of Blue Jays Way anyway.
Doctor to Gen X: Sorry, you’re old — time to invest in these 2 items for your health
If you were born between the years of 1965 and 1980, then that means you’re a part of Generation X. If that applies to you, then I’m sorry, but you’re old now. That’s according to Dr. Terry Simpson, who went online to give Gen Xers a pair of tips to live a better life in their Golden Years. He says that if you’d like to invest in your health, then buy two things, the first of which is a good pair of walking shoes. He says you’ll want to get out and walk out to stay fit and healthy, and a good pair of walking shoes will go along way to keep off those aches and pains. The other thing you’ll need is a comfortable mattress. If you’re not getting a good night’s sleep at your age, your health will suffer. So, invest in those two things, and that eventual retirement will likely be a breeze. And hey, Millennials: We’re next. Might be a good idea to also do these things.
