The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is looking for an unknown man who stole from a local hardware store.
On Friday, June 28th, at 2:15 p.m., the suspect entered the Canadian Tire store at 315 Guelph Street in Georgetown. He went to a display with Thermacell duel-pack replacement cartridges, placing all 62 items in a basket. He then went to another display that had Thermacell single-pack replacement cartridges, concealing all 87 from the display in his jacket.
This man exited through the garden centre without paying for any of the items. The total value of the 149 packages taken was more than $7,000.
The suspect is described the HRPS as:
- Male
- 55 – 65 years old
- grey hair, balding on top with grey stubble on his face
- wearing a black jacket with safety vest and blue jeans
