100 Women Who Care Milton has announced the date for their third gathering of 2024.
The group gets together to listen to presentations from three local charities. The group then votes and awards one charity with a donation from each member. Traditionally, the donation is $100 per member, but has been done on a ‘donate-what-you-can’ method since the pandemic.
In April, they chose the Shifra Homes as the awarded charity. $7,500 was given to the organization to “protect and support women who are unsure how to parent, fleeing violence, or working to rebuild their lives through [their] Residential and Seeds of Hope Programs.”
On Wednesday, July 10th, they will gather at Milton’s Springridge Farm at 7256 Bell School Line. Registration will start at 6:00 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. It’s expected to run for roughly one hour. Shifra Homes will join the meeting to discuss how their award has been used the last few months.
