Ontario Premier Doug Ford made a stop in Simcoe County yesterday.
He first stopped in Barrie, where he met with the team at Matcor-Matsu, a company that manufactures stamped metal components for the automotive industry.
Then he moved onto Oro-Medonte where he paid a visit to PIE Education, an initiative aiding children in need.
Later in the day the Premier made his way to Innisfil for a groundbreaking ceremony for DSV’s new commercial development.
The logistics company is building a $200 million, 1.3 million-square-foot warehousing facility, expected to create approximately 225 jobs.
Construction on the facility is expected to be complete by July 2025.
