An investigation into how and why a bus caught fire is underway.
Police closed a section of the 400 on Sunday after an Ontario Northland bus caught on fire.
Just before 5 o’clock Sunday evening, a bus travelling from Sudbury to Yorkdale caught fire just south of Highway 12 in Severn Township.
The 28 passengers on board on the bus were safely evacuated, there were no injuries.
A second bus, pick up the stranded travellers.
The highway’s southbound lanes reopened to traffic just after 6:30 p.m.
