Multiple businesses in Milton were vandalized over the weekend.
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says that overnight Saturday, June 8th into Sunday, June 9th, officers received a number of calls for similar style property damage involving a rock bring thrown at the glass windows of banks.
The first call came in at roughly 11:30 p.m. on Saturday. It was for the TD Canada Trust at 1040 Kennedy Circle.
Several hours later, police were also called to the TD Canada Trust at 810 Main Street, the CIBC at 9030 Derry Road, the Bank of Montreal at 9040 Louis St Laurent, and the Scotiabank at 9030 Louis St Laurent.
Police located and arrested the suspect in the area of Farmstead Drive and Louis St Laurent Avenue in Milton at roughly 3:30 a.m.
Investigation also determined the suspect had thrown a rock through the window of the Food Basics at 500 Laurier Avenue and entered the store stealing less than $50 worth of groceries and leaving. The banks were not entered.
No injuries have been reported.
A 22-year-old Milton man has been charged with five counts of Mischief Under $5000 and one count of breaking and entering.
