A local lupus fundraiser is returning next month!
The WALK for Lupus is Lupus Ontario’s largest provincial fundraising and awareness event. It began over 23 years ago with a single walk and has grown into an event involving thousands of participants throughout the province. Over the years, the WALK for Lupus has raised over $1 million to fund the Lupus Ontario Geoff Carr Research Fellowship, support and education programs for lupus patients and their families, and advocacy projects aimed at improving programs and services for lupus patients.
The event include:
- Lupus Warrior speaker
- 2.5k + 5k walk options
- Food truck
- Draw for Prizes
- 50-50 Raffle
- Lupus Ontario swag
The Hamilton-Halton WALK for Lupus Ontario will be on Sunday, July 7th at the Pier 4 Park at 64 Leander Drive in Hamilton. Registration is at 9:00 a.m., kick-off is at 10:00 a.m. and the walk starts at 10:30 a.m.
