There’s been a lot of discourse about this recently: Do you wash your feet?
Jason Kelce posted on X over the weekend, quoting another post that said he looks like someone who doesn’t wash their feet. He replied with, “what kind of weirdo washes their feet?”
A lot of people had a lot of things to say about this, and believe it or not, many people from both sides of the argument. There were a lot of pro-feet washing people and a lot of anti-feet washing people.
So, where do you stand? Do you stand on washed or unwashed feet?
Let me know!

What else did we talk about this morning?
ICYMI – The history behind Milton’s Banks Crescent and Etheridge Avenue
It’s Street Name Monday! Every week, we speak with Milton Historical Society President John Challinor about the origins of local street names. This week, we have a street connected to the famous Blue Man Group, and another connected to a World War II bomber! Two more streets will be covered next week.
Daily WTF – Taylor Momsen bit by a bat while performing in Spain
Jenny from Gossip Girl had to get a rabies shot after she was bitten by a bat while performing on stage. The 30-year-old actor turned singer was performing with her band outdoors when a bat flew down a stuck itself to her leg. She was reportedly bitten by the bat. Momsen joked on-stage and said, “I must really be a witch.” She posted to social media showing her in a medical room after the show receiving the shot. Everything’s good! Her band will be back for the next show as they continue to open up for AC/DC, and I’d imagine in another universe, Ozzy Osbourne.
Daily Did You Know – Bridge at Milton conservation area going under construction all summer
More construction has been announced around town. Crews will start working on the Kelso Road bridge this month. It’s expected to cause lane closures throughout the summer, which means getting in and out of Kelso Conservation Area is going to be a bit of a pain these next few months. Should be done by the fall.
Italian village with 46 residents has 30 local election candidates
It’s not a good sign for the mayor when seemingly every single possible resident has thrown their hat into the ring for the next election. In the small town of Ingria, Italy, there are 46 residents. As they enter election season in this village, 30 people have decided they could be elected, including the incumbent mayor’s own family. 46 total residents, and 30 of them will run for office… The election is this weekend, and it sounds like it’ll be chaos. Good luck to the fine people of Ingria, Italy – you’ll need it.
GOOD NEWS – Canada’s 1st full-scale free grocery store to open in Regina
With the price of groceries going up and up, it can feel like an unbearable weight is being pressed down onto your wallet. That’s why the Regina Food Bank is looking to change things up. 16,000 people in the city use the service, which has seen a significant jump since the start of the pandemic. As inflation hits the entire country, Regina is looking to help the people that need it the most. That’s why the Food Bank is launching Canada’s first-ever FREE grocery store. The new Regina Food Bank Community Food Hub is set to open this summer inside an old liquor store downtown. It will allow clients the ability to walk into the store, grab what they’d like, and walk out. It’s entirely up to the consumer, with the belief that including choice into the process will help residents get what they need, as oppose to potentially contributing to food waste… And that’s some good news!
Jennifer Lopez abruptly cancels This Is Me… Live concert tour, including 3 Canadian dates
It seems the Jennifer Lopez comeback tour isn’t happening anytime soon. She announced the tour with the release of her new album. When the album performed poorly, and thus, ticket sales were down, her team announced it would be a ‘Greatest Hits’ tour instead. It seems that shift wasn’t enough, as she has officially canceled the tour altogether. This news also comes as she’s in the headlines for a potential split from new husband and old fiancé, Ben Affleck. If you were looking for to hearing ‘Jenny From the Block’ live in Toronto, you’ll have to wait indefinitely. Hopefully things start to turn up for her, because it hasn’t been a great 2024 for J-Lo!
Go ahead and get your sleep advice from TikTok — most of it is accurate, study finds
You’ve always been told to not believe everything you read online. It’s very easy for someone to make something and spread it around the interwebs as if it were true. Facebook has become synonymous with “Fake News” and has impacted several elections now. Thing is, that might not be true for TikTok – at least, when it comes to sleep advice. A study looking into the validity of sleeping tips on the social media app has found that most of these tips you’re finding are pretty accurate! Science is reportedly backing up a lot of these claims. So, if you’re having trouble sleeping at night, you might need to start scrolling TikTok… They’ve apparently got all the answers you need!
Her gut was producing alcohol. Doctors didn’t believe her
A Toronto woman was finding her breath reeking of alcohol. She walked through her days dizzy, disoriented and weak. One time she passed out while making her children lunch, hitting her head off the counter. This might sound like the actions of an alcoholic, but the thing is, this woman was not drinking any alcohol. She went to the doctors to figure out what was wrong, but they chalked it up to her lying about how much she drinks. Eventually, after enough visits, they took a look at her stomach and found that it was producing alcohol on its own. It’s called ‘auto-brewery syndrome’, an extremely rare condition in which bacteria and fungus in the gastrointestinal tract turn everyday food into ethanol. Essentially, her stomach acid was making her drunk. She’s now getting by on a low-carb diet and avoiding all antifungal medication, which appears to be working. What a world!
