Daily WTF – Orange juice prices are going through the roof — forcing some makers to consider alternative fruits
Your orange juice might no longer be ORANGE juice. We’re not talking about the colour, either. With orange prices going through the roof, orange juice makers are looking for alternatives to produce their popular drink. The label might say orange, it might even show an orange, but reports say these makers are switching over to pears, apples, and grapes to help make their products. There might still be some orange in there, but the ratio is getting altered as the days and weeks and months go by. So, if you’re an avid orange juice drinker, you might want to check the ingredients… It could be more pear juice than anything else.
