A multi-vehicle collision in Burlington has hospitalized a cyclist.
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says the collision occurred on Friday, May 31st, at roughly 5:45 p.m. on Fairview Street at Walkers Line in Burlington. A Honda CRV being driven by a 64-year-old Burlington woman was moving westbound on Fairview Street when it struck a vehicle in the westbound lane. The Honda continued west until it reached Walkers line, at which point it struck a 19-year-old Hamilton woman who had been standing on the channelizing island at the northeast corner of the intersection. The Honda then struck two other vehicles before coming to a stop.
The cyclist was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries and is presently being treated by medical personnel.
The cause of the collision is currently under investigation.
