A Burlington woman is celebrating after winning the lottery!
Elizabeth Conn won a $100,000 top prize with INSTANT CROSSWORD TRIPLER.
The retired manufacturing worker was moved to tears when she saw that she won.
“I was at home playing my ticket and matched six words,” she shared when visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings. “I had no idea what the prize was. When I flipped the ticket over and saw the prize was $100,000, I thought there was no way! I couldn’t believe it. I showed the ticket to my husband and asked him to double check it. He encouraged me to go to the store to have it checked. When I saw the “Big Winner’ screen, I was nervous and excited! I would dream of this moment, but when it happens, it’s unbelievable. I could cry happy tears.”
Her plan is pay off bills, treat her husband to some golf, and go on a trip with her best friend!
The winning ticket was purchased at Merchant’s Convenience on Plains Road in Burlington.
