Police Day, 2019
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has announced their 22nd Police Day!
It’s a free event, rain or shine, that invites families out to enjoy all kinds of interactive displays and demonstrations. There will also be food and live music. Highlights of the day will include:
- Tactical Rescue Unit, K-9, and Motorcycle demonstrations
- Interactive displays
- Inflatable amusements and games
- Live bands
- BBQ catered by Troy’s Diner
The theme of this year’s Police Day event mirrors Ontario’s Police Week, which is celebrated May 12th – May 18th. Their theme is ‘Join Policing: Keep Ontario Safe‘, in recognition of the key role policing has in ensuring the safety and well-being of all those who call Halton region and Ontario home. Attendees can also stop by the recruiting table if you or someone you know is interested in a career in policing.
It’s set for Saturday, May 11th outside the HRPS headquarters, located 2485 North Service Road in Oakville. It will start at 12:00 p.m. and run until 4:00 p.m.
