75 is the new 65!
A new study has found that we might be getting older later in life. 14,000 people born between 1911 and 1974 were polled, with the question asked: “At what age would you describe someone as old?”
It seems, as we get older, the older “old” gets. People in their 60s firmly believed it started at roughly 75 years old. This could have an effect on retirement, as people will choose to continue to work later in life.
What would you consider old age? 65? 75? 100? Has the number changed for you as you’ve gotten older?
Let me know!

Daily WTF – Maine gun store hires ‘udderly’ adorable employee, a baby cow
It’s hard to find work, but for one baby cow in the Pine Tree State, they’ve managed to find employment. A&G Shooting, a gun store in Fairfield, Maine, has hired a baby cow. Why exactly? Why not! Kade the cow was rejected by his mother after birth and was shivering in the cold out in the woods. He was found by the owner of the gun store and brought home to be taken care of. After Kade’s health returned, the store owner decided to put him to work. Fox News says the calf’s “duties” at the store include inspecting products and receiving snuggles. It ain’t much but it’s honest work, if I say so myself. It’s time for me to go looking for a cow to bring to work… FM 101 Milk-ton has a good ring to it…

Buzz kill? Gen Z less interested in coffee than older Canadians, survey shows
For years and years, Millennials were blamed for the death of industries. A lot of the things were outdated or unnecessary items that didn’t fit the lifestyle of a young adult during the time. As we switch over to a new generation of young adults, it appears Gen Z are starting to be blamed for not liking or enjoying things. According to a study by the University of Guelph, Gen Zers are not big fans of coffee! For decades, if not centuries, people have been waking up and drinking java before starting their day… but that could be changing! The study was looking at preferred drinks for breakfast. 81% of The Greatest Generation said coffee. That’s compared to 66% of Boomers, 55% of Gen Xers, and 46% of Millennials. For Gen Zers, the number was just 30% of respondents. The trend seems to be that the older you get, the more you prefer coffee in the morning with your breakfast, or it’s possible that as time moves on, less people are looking for that caffeine boost in the morning. That said, the study didn’t include what they prefer to drink, and says it could actually be energy drinks, tea, or even something like a Frappuccino from Starbucks – which the respondents might not consider to be coffee. How do you start your day? Do you drink coffee? Do you chug a glass of water and go about your day? Let me know!

What’s a Barnacle? It’s yellow, sticks and screams if you try to pry it off your car in Regina
It seems the residents of Regina, Saskatchewan have a barnacle problem! How does that happen when the city and province are incredibly landlocked from the ocean? Well, these barnacles are man-made and are being stuck to vehicles. Yes, the University of Regina is utilizing a new method to tackle parking tickets. According to the local newspaper there, the barnacle is a bright yellow device placed on a vehicle’s windshield and commercial-grade suction cups latch onto the glass. It has 450 kilograms of suction power. It also has an ear-piercing alarm if you try to remove it. The only way you can remove it is by paying the parking fine, which can be done by scanning a QR code attached to the barnacle. Apparently this device has been used in other cities with a lot of success and Regina is the latest to give it a shot. Would you want to see the barnacle brought to Milton? It might help with some of the parking issues we have around town, that’s for sure…
‘Sweet’ Success: Hozier Hits No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 for First Time
It’s taken more than a decade, but Hozier has found his way to the number one spot on Billboard Hot 100. You might recall the singer for his massive hit ‘Take Me to Church‘ from 2014, but he’s somewhat quietly had a very successful career in the years since. Thing is, no matter how big that song was way back when, it never reached number one on the charts. It actually settled at #2 in every market except for Switzerland and Belgium. Enter in his latest single, ‘Too Sweet‘, which has officially settled at the top of the mountain. What do you think? Should we add the song to our rotation? Let us know!
