The Town of Milton is warning residents as construction season gets underway.
Residents will begin to notice several infrastructure projects around the community over the coming weeks. These include road reconstruction, bike lanes, sidewalk expansion, asphalt improvements, intersection modifications, urbanization (curbs and gutters), storm sewer rehabilitation and bridge maintenance. All in all, the Town is investing $29.88 million in 2024 infrastructure construction.
This year, residents can expect road closures and lane restrictions on main roads and side streets as the Town continues to evolve the transportation network.
“The Town of Milton is investing more than $29.88 million on our roads, bridges, and storm water system in 2024 to build and maintain infrastructure that makes Milton a connected community,” says Diana Jiona Director, Infrastructure. “We understand that construction can be inconvenient, however, this essential work is a priority to provide safe and maintained critical infrastructure now and in the years to come.”
