The Milton Public Library has announced their 1st annual Tea Fest!
It’s planned to be a vibrant festival celebrating the rich and diverse world of tea. This day-long event invites tea lovers of all levels to immerse themselves in everything tea-related.
Tea Fest will feature over 25 vendors providing samples of their finest teas, allowing attendees to taste their way across the globe. Participants can learn about the history and culture of tea through free workshops and demonstrations. Notable sessions include a traditional Masala Chai demonstration by Preena Chauhan and a Japanese tea ceremony by Momo Yoshida. These engaging experiences requires pre-registration due to limited spaces.
CEO and Chief Librarian Sarah Douglas-Murray says it’ll be a busy day of fun tea-related activities.
Local vendors will offer a variety of teas and tea-related products for purchase. Attendees are reminded to BYOB (Bring Your Own Bag) to carry their finds, although Milton Public Library tote bags will also be available for sale at the event for $10.00 each.
There is no ATM on site, but most vendors will accept debit and credit cards.
Food will available onsite for purchase.
It will take place on Saturday, May 4th, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., inside Rink 2 at the Sherwood Community Centre at 6355 Main Street West. Admission is free with donation of a food item for Food for Life encouraged. Parking is also free.
All are welcome and the venue is fully accessible.
