Registration is officially open for Conservation Halton’s Ways of the Woods summer day camps.
The camps start on Monday, July 1st and run on weekdays until Friday, August 30th. Campers ages 4 to 15 can choose from 18 different camps, each geared towards recreation, education, and leadership.
This year, Ways of the Woods features six new camps and a new park location. Camps will run out of Kelso, Mountsberg, Crawford Lake, and now Area 8 Conservation Area. As Conservation Halton’s newest park, Area 8 offers a crystal-clear, motor-free lake for swimming and canoeing, as well as a new natural playground for outdoor games and play.
“For over thirty years, our Ways of the Woods camps have provided fun and engaging programming that gets children outdoors and active during the summer months,” says Craig Machan, Director, Parks & Operations at Conservation Halton. “We’re delighted to offer all the favourites again this year along with new programming options and an added camp location – Area 8, our newest Milton park. Now campers have more adventures to choose from and a whole new park to explore.”
