The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has arrested the driver in a hit and run incident from last month.
On Sunday, February 18th, at roughly 6:30 p.m., the HRPS responded to a reported hit and run accident near the intersection of Kingsway Drive and Winterbourne Drive in Oakville. Investigation determined that an elderly female was stuck by a vehicle which fled the scene prior to police arrival. The victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries and continues to recover. Investigation was undertaken by the Oakville Criminal Investigations Bureau with a suspect identified.
On Friday, March 1st, 36-year-old Jenna Tedesco of Oakville was arrested and charged with the following:
- Fail to Remain at the Scene of an Accident Causing Bodily Harm
An upcoming court date has been set for Tuesday, April 2nd.
