It’s always a good feeling to get a big win over a rival.
The Milton Menace went into Oakville on Tuesday morning to play the Blades. It was the third match-up of the OJHL season for the two teams, with the Menace winning the previous two games.
Starting the scoring off was Aidan Puley. The Menace forward buried his 25th goal of the season, this one on the powerplay, at the 12:37 mark in the first period. It was assisted by Owen Kindree The Menace would take a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.
In the second period, Justin O’Donnell scored his 16th of the season, assisted by Ivan Fabjan and Captain Connor Driscoll. The Menace led 2-0 after 40 minutes of action.
They started to run away with things in the finale frame. Fabjan got a goal of his own, his 19th of the year, with help from Driscoll and Isaac Barrett. A few minutes later, Ashtyn Pacheco would net his 7th of the season, assisted by Gavin Sheehan and Jayden Levesque. Near the end of the game, Driscoll scored his 27th goal, with an assist from O’Donnell. The Milton Menace would shut out the Oakville Blades, 5-0.
In net for the donut was Forbes Andersen, who continued his solid return to play with 27 saves for a perfect night.
The Menace return home on Friday, February 16th for a tough match-up against the Collingwood Blues. Game-time is listed for 7:30 p.m. at the Milton Memorial Arena. Milton Menace home tickets for this OJHL season can be found here.
