A Brampton man has been arrested following an investigation into a sexual assault case at Oakville Place last week.
On Friday, February 9th, the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says the approached two teenage girls at the Dollarama store inside Oakville Place. They report that he “exposed his genitals,” and made non-consensual physical contact with them. No physical injuries were reported.
On Monday, February 12th, 62-year-old Paul Swanson was arrested. He has been charged with the following:
- Committing an Indecent Act;
- Sexual Assault (two counts);
- Sexual Interference (two counts); and,
- Failing to Comply with Probation.
Swanson is being held in custody pending a Bail Hearing.
Police believe there may be additional victims.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) – Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit is looking for an unknown man after he reportedly exposed himself to two teenage girls.
On Friday, February 9th, at roughly 5:25 p.m., the suspect went to the Dollarama store inside Oakville Place. He was driving a white Ford F150 with various items in the rear bed. The suspect approached the girls, committed what the HRPS are calling an “indecent act”, and made non-consensual physical contact with them.
The two girls did not suffer any physical injuries.
The suspect is described as follows:
- Male, white, between 40 and 55 years old
- Wearing grey baseball cap, black hooded sweatshirt, blue t-shirt, beige or khaki pants and black shoes
- Roughly 6’0″ tall with an average build
- Grey goatee and short hair

Sexual assault is any touching of another person without their consent where the touching is of a sexual nature, or where the sexual integrity of the victim is violated. A sexual assault can range from unwanted touching to sexual assault involving penetration.
There is no statute of limitation when it comes to reporting a sexual assault. This means that no matter how long ago the sexual assault happened, you can still report it to police for investigation.
