The Milton Film Festival (MFF) has announced the winners of the 2024 Allegra Audience Choice Awards.
For ‘Best Canadian Feature’, the MFF says ‘Richelieu’ was chosen as the winner. IMDB describes the film as:
“After a bad breakup, Ariane moves home and gets a job as an interpreter for seasonal migrant workers. Witnessing workplace abuses, Ariane must decide how far she is willing to go to speak out against injustice.”
The ‘Best Short Film’ award was given to ‘One More Time With Feeling’. The film is described as:
“Faced with her mortality, Cecillia must take down her Church Group arch-nemesis Lucy-Anne.”
This past event was the 11th year for the Milton Film Festival. It’s expected to return in 2025 for another year. We’ll let you know when the line-up is announced.
