Daily WTF – Floating sauna rescues sunken Tesla in Norway
If you were to picture what happens in Norway when a vehicle leaves the roadway and plunges into the water, you’d be correct in thinking that a floating sauna would rescue them. A Tesla managed to find its way into a fjord (body of water). Lucky for the driver, there was a floating sauna nearby, and the people inside were able to maneuver the building towards the car. I’d like to imagine that they don’t have a navy in Norway, just a fleet of floating saunas that are sent out on command. Read more here…

The Super Bowl is famous for the vast amount of sporting bets you can make on it. Heads or tails to start the game? They have it. How long will the national anthem go for? You can bet that. The colour of the winning team’s gatorade? Obviously. New this year, TAYLOR SWIFT! The biggest name in music is expected to be at the game, and you can bet on a wide range of props that feature Swift. According to reports, you can bet on her eating a hot dog during the broadcast; the colours she’s wearing; which Swift song the broadcast will play first; and, will Travis Kelce propose after the game, among others. Sports betting has been a predominantly male field, but sports betting has never included Taylor Swift on one of the grandest stages of them all. So, in the wise words of Shania Twain, “Let’s Go, Girls“…
Educators played the same Powerball numbers for years, then hid their winning ticket in a math book
A group of 30 educators in a Kentucky town have been playing the US Powerball lottery together for eight years. They’ve been playing the same numbers every time, like most people. Recently, those numbers finally hit. They didn’t win the outrageous jackpot, but they got a $1 million. They all collectively drove to the office to collect the cheque, with the winning ticket hidden away in the best hiding place they could think of: an old math textbook. Each winner received roughly $24,000 after taxes. Some plan to invest, others (likely the retired ones) are aiming to travel or fix up their homes. We could also use an extra $24,000 in our bank accounts… that’s for sure. Read more here…
