Do you eat in the shower?
Shower drinks have long been a thing, but actress Jessica Biel says the act should extend to food! She’s shared that “shower eating” is one of her favourite things, and recommends that everyone should do it.
Here are her tips:
- She recommends a ledge or shelf to place the food or drink
- Keep it away from soaps
- Enjoy a bite or sip in between washing and shampooing
- Chew with your mouth closed
What do you think? Would you give eating in the shower a try?
Is it too much – or is it a great time saver?
Let me know!

Daily WTF – Statue missing from the Belvedere for 30 years returned after found in man’s backyard
30 years ago, a statue went missing from a park in Kentucky. It’s like the head of Jebediah Springfield went missing and people were looking for Bart Simpson. Turns out, it’s been in a local man’s backyard this entire time. But he didn’t necessarily STEAL the statue. The man’s father was working on renovating the park way back when. Apparently, the statue was going to be thrown out/destroyed. So, the dad asked to have it, his boss said ‘sure’, and that’s how it happened. The man eventually received it from his dad, and then as the years went by, he was curious about the origins of the statue. After a quick Google search, he found that the local Public Arts Department had been looking for it this entire time. It was returned to the City and is in the process of being repaired after going 30 years untreated. And THAT is why you should just stick with lawn gnomes. Read more here…
“Monster-sized” jet stream stretching 10,000 km will bring wild weather to Canada next week
It’s still early, but as we take a look at next week, we’re likely in for some wild weather. The last two weeks have been the definition of “yo-yo weather” and we’re not done yet. The west coast and prairies will be hit with a large jet stream coming in from the Pacific, while the east coast, along with Quebec and Northern Ontario, will likely get hit by another cold spell off the Atlantic. That means warm weather coming from the east and cold weather coming from the west, with us in Southern Ontario basically right in the middle. Early forecasts from Environment Canada look pretty okay right now, but as the days go by, that could change. We’ll let you know as the weather gets closer. Read more here…

Netflix to fully phase out most affordable no-ads plan in Canada
Your Netflix bill is potentially getting more expensive. If you pay for the $9.99 Basic plan with no ads, you’ll need to either upgrade the package or downgrade it to include ads. The move is expected in the second quarter of the year. Right now, the Standard plan is listed at $16.49 per month, while the Premium plan is a whopping $22.99. The Basic plan with ads costs just $5.99, but experts expect that number to gradually rise over the coming years. Just once I’d like for Netflix to get cheaper. Read more here…
Sweary parrots become unlikely stars at a British zoo ($#!%)
It’s really cool that we can teach certain birds to mimic speech. Parrots are the most famous example, and sometimes, they pick up words that you don’t want them to use. For a British zoo, they have some filthy mouthed poultry. They’re learning curse words at an alarming rate. The zoo has asked people to stop swearing around the parrots, but that hasn’t stopped them. It’s led to people asking the question: Do fowl teach foul words to each other? (Apparently parrots aren’t fowl, but I still like the wordplay regardless.) The birds will reportedly enter a sensitivity training rehab program to help with the issue. I can’t believe that will be someone’s job. What a world we live in! Read more here…

When do people finally take their health seriously?
You can usually coast through your early years when it comes to your health. But then, the junk food, the lack of exercise, and general poor decisions will eventually catch up to you and small problems bloom into big problems. A study looking into health patterns found that the average person starts to take their health seriously by age 38. It also usually follows a health scare. Other triggers for new-found health habits are milestone birthdays, as well as new aches and pains. It also helps when celebrities share their own health issues because it causes alarms to go off inside their followers’ heads. Be honest with yourself: do you take your health seriously? If so, when did that start for you? Let me know! Read more here…
Should you flush with the lid open or closed? Experts have a new theory
We’ve often heard that flushing with the toilet seat up means all the bacteria inside the toilet bowl is being shot up into the air like a bomb went off. That’s why a lot of people have developed the habit of flushing with the lid down. Thing is, according to experts, that still doesn’t fully stop what’s called ‘The Invisible Spray’. Gross. They say that it might stop the larger particles, but the smaller ones will still find a way out thanks to the amount of force caused by a toilet flushing. They recommend that your best course of action to limit this spray is to regularly clean your toilet. That way, less bacteria will shoot up, and your peace of mind can be that much better. After all that, I’ll still close the toilet lid, thank you very much. Read more here…
What is ‘avalanching’? Singles warned of dangerous new dating trend ahead of Valentine’s Day
If you’re single, there’s a new dating trend that you need to keep an eye out for. With just a few weeks until Valentine’s Day, many single people will likely find someone to enjoy the day with. That could be due to what people are calling ‘avalanching’. What is it? It’s when people go on dating apps like Tinder and they swipe away on anyone and everyone. Things like age, location and other filters are thrown out the door. The goal is to find a date. There’s a lot of pressure to have someone on a day like Valentine’s Day, which is why the weeks before see a spike in avalanching activity. If you’re currently on dating apps, you might not find love this time of year… But there’s a low chance you’ll be alone on the most romantic day of the year, and that’s kind of a positive!
