The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says this past weekend’s death in Oakville is no longer being considered suspicious by investigators.
A 20-year-old woman was found medical distress on Saturday, January 20th outside of Sunningdale Public School. She later died in hospital.
Although the investigation is ongoing with the Office of the Chief Coroner, the HRPS are not seeking any suspects and do not anticipate laying any charges.
At the request of the family, the HRPS will not be identifying the victim.

A suspicious death is being investigated by the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) and the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario.
At roughly 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 20th, the 20 year old female victim was found in medical distress outside of Sunningdale Public School at 1434 Oxford Avenue in Oakville. She was taken to hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Detectives are currently investigating the circumstances of how the victim came to be outside the school and are reviewing sources of video surveillance from the area of Oxford Avenue and Miller Road in Oakville.
Investigators will not be releasing the victim’s name at this time out of respect for the victim and at the request of her family.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have information about this event or may have seen any individuals outside of Sunningdale Public School between the hours of 1:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 20th to contact investigators via the HRPS non-emergency line at 905 825 4777.
