Have you ever texted the wrong person by accident???
Recently, Rob Lowe spoke about how he texted Bradley Cooper ‘congratulations’ for winning the Golden Globe. Thing is, Robert Downey Jr. had won the award, and Cooper had lost that night.
A lot of people have found themselves in this situation, myself included. I once texted my friend a message that was meant for my girlfriend (now wife) while her and I were arguing about something silly. Needless to say, I was embarrassed and now I always check to make sure I’m texting the right person… it’s been 10 years.
What about you? Have you ever sent a text that was meant for someone else?
Let me know!

Daily WTF – Culprit fills in Chicago neighborhood landmark known as the ‘rat hole’
It’s not often when a community actually LIKES having a pothole in their streets. Many people would be clambering to get the thing filled, but not CHICAGOANS. They had a hole in one of their roads, it looked a lot like a rat. They called it ‘THE RAT HOLE’ because, well, obviously! Thing is, someone filled this rat hole, and people want answers. You might think it was city officials behind it – but you’d be wrong! It was filled with a “white plaster substance”, and the City denied doing it. Now, as the residents mourn and leave behind tributes for the filled hole, they’re looking for the culprit. In a city known for its old fashioned gangsters, they’re looking for the rat… who filled the rat hole. Read more here…

Town of Milton receiving more than $1.3 million from OLG through quarterly payment
This is good news for the community. For those who don’t know, four times a year the Town of Milton gets a lot of money from OLG. This is because there’s a casino in Campbellville. Portions of this money goes back into the community through local charities every year. Last year, $362,564 was handed out to 46 local organizations. Not bad! Read more here…
Bomb Squad Disptached After Contractor Discovers Grenade Inside Bathroom Wall
Not since Lethal Weapon 2 has the bomb squad been called in for a potential bathroom explosion. A worker remodeling a bathroom in Seattle was quite alarmed when he found GRENADES behind the wall. Not wanting to test his luck, the contractor immediately called the police, who sent in the bomb squad to discover that the grenade was not live. The belief now is that SOMEONE actually opened the wall up and hid it there before patching it back up. Likely a World War Two veteran that brought some items home with him after the war. I’m sure the contractor will now think twice about using his a sledgehammer on a wall. Read more here…

The strangest items left in hotel rooms, travel company reveals
Whenever you go on holiday, you always need to double check to make sure you didn’t leave behind any items in your room before checkout. You especially need to make sure you didn’t leave behind any ODD items. EasyJet Holidays released their list of strange items left behind in rooms last year. Dentures topped the list, likely because it makes you wonder ‘how did they forget those?’ Witchcraft paraphernalia was second, and (similar to first place) a prosthetic limb was third. Also on this list was a glass eye, stashed German coins found behind the toilet, and a clown costume. Sounds like a WILD Friday night. Read more here…
Here’s why you should never use a hotel iron, according to a travel expert
From leaving items behind in hotel rooms to never trusting the items FOUND in hotel rooms, a travel expert says you shouldn’t touch the iron in your room. Why? They say you don’t know where it’s been. Apparently it’s somewhat common practice for people to use irons to reheat their pizza or cook other items. So, if you’re looking to iron a clean white shirt, you might want to do a few practice runs on the curtains. You should also maybe avoid touching the curtains, but that’s a problem for another day. Milton residents can now enjoy an outdoor rink at this local park
If there’s one silver lining of last week’s cold snap, it’s the fact that we get to experience winter in Milton! Glen Eden is officially open, and now so is an outdoor ice rink in town. You can find the rink at Laurier Park. It’s being run through the Town of Milton’s neighbourhood outdoor rink program. That means it’s entirely volunteer run, and therefore, needs your help in staying that way. Be respectful when using it, and follow the guidelines provided. Hopefully it stays cold enough to remain active, and not too cold to want to stay inside all day! Read more here…
