Local crews work on snow during a storm
Another storm is on the way!
Residents in Milton and the surrounding can expect lots of snow, rain, and heavy winds Friday night into Saturday. This follows a storm on Tuesday, January 9th that caused several collisions on roads across Ontario.
Environment Canada issued a Weather Advisory:
Snow is forecast to begin late this afternoon or early this evening. The snow will quickly become heavy at times, before transitioning to periods of rain tonight or early Saturday morning as temperatures rise above freezing.
Strong southeasterly winds gusting up to 70 km/h will combine with this heavy snow to cause significantly reduced visibility at times.
Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly.
Avoid travel if possible. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
Here’s the latest forecast for Milton.
Be smart and drive safe!
