When was the last time you had a “perfect” sleep?
The average person reportedly gets just 132 perfect sleeps a year; 120 sleeps were listed as just good; and the remaining 113 were considered bad sleeps.
The reason why 30% of your sleeps are considered poor? The study suggests it could be constant stress and anxiety. This stress leads to scrolling past bedtime, late-night snacking, and simply “staring at the ceiling.”
All this leads to a bad sleep, and thus, a bad time the next day.
Does this track with your sleep schedule? What are your tips for a good night’s rest?

Daily WTF – Cat Missing for 7 Years Found Living in Factory 900 Feet Away
In January 2017, an English woman lost her cat. It happened just after she had given birth, and she thought maybe the two things were somehow connected. She searched for this cat for months, but like most pet parents in this scenario, eventually she had to accept the truth. That was until she received a knock on the door. That knock came nearly seven years later! It was the local vet. They had found her cat. Where? Living in a factory just three football fields away from her home. But, just like the movie Cast Away, the woman had moved on with her life. She had a second child, and the young family adopted a dog. She decided it would be best for the cat to go to a new family and live out his remaining years with all the attention he deserved. The woman also gets constant updates on how ‘Duke’ is doing. What a rollercoaster! Read more here…

Woman with loudest nose whistle can create whimsical melodies
A Mississauga woman has broken a world record! LuLu Lotus reportedly has the world’s LOUDEST nose whistle, chiming in at 44.1 decibel(s) (C-weighted). The whistle is apparently as loud as a bird call! That’s unreal! As with most odd talents, she discovered this ability when she was a child. You can imagine some of her teachers probably felt like Ned Flanders in church at times. Read more here…
Canadians think oddly shaped potato looks like the legendary “house hippo”
Remember house hippos? The commercial played on TV when I was a child. My mom used to run a daycare (like most moms in Ontario apparently) and one of the kids she took care of back then loved the commercial. She actually loved it so much (and clearly missed the point of the commercial entirely) that she once said her mom was GETTING HER A HOUSE HIPPO. I think about that every time they’re brought up, including when someone found a familiar looking potato. The original post (designed to get social media interaction) asked people what they saw when looking at the potato, noting that most see either a boxing glove or dinosaur. Turns out – it’s a spitting image of the notorious house hippo. Hopefully they leave peanut butter out at night for the little “potato” to feast on. Read more here…
Would you pay $187K to live on this Canadian houseboat?
A Canadian houseboat has seemingly made INTERNATIONAL NEWS. Tiny homes, trailers, and yes, even houseboats. This viral houseboat in Canada is actually quite stunning, and it’s only going for $250,000 CAD ($187,000 US). So, if you’re on a budget (and you have a strong stomach), then set the sails! You’re home. Read more here…
The Internet Has Spoken: “Loud Budgeting” Is Now In
Babe, wake up! A new term just dropped. Have you ever heard of loud budgeting? It’s a new trend going around that means exactly what it sounds like: Being very open about your financing (and sometimes, lack thereof). Friends invite you to dinner? No thanks, I only have $7 in my bank account. Friend thinks you should get a new car? Dude, I said I have $7. Buying a house? SEVEN DOLLARS! Loud budgeting… the louder the better. Read more here…
This Teacher Is Going Viral For Punishing Students Who Use Slang In Her Class
New slang can be intimidating, and sometimes, outright rage inducing. Cut to a teacher who had their list of “banned words” go viral online. This list included Gen Z slang like ‘Bruh’, ‘Bet’, ‘That’s Cap’, and ‘It’s giving’. The punishment for using one of these words is having to write an essay on why you chose those words in an academic setting. Their reasoning for the ban? “… using slang in an academic setting can diminish your capability to become a successful writer.” Professional writers called that point out, saying that’s not true at all (ever heard of Shakespeare?) Where do you stand on this? Let me know! Read more here…
