The Milton Menace remain undefeated against the Buffalo Jr. Sabres!
On Friday, January 5th, the Menace returned from their holiday break with a home game against Buffalo. Milton last played the Sabres just days before the holiday break, getting their third win over the team this season.
Things started off strong for the Menace, with Tristan Tremble getting the boys on the board 5:18 into the first period with his 4th of the season. It was assisted by Alexander Siletsky and Alessandro Petreccia. Just under two minutes later, Ivan Fabjan made it a two-goal game with 13th of the year. It was assisted by Graeme Macauley and Aidan Puley. Milton led 2-0 after 20-minutes of action.
Jayden Levesque then kept things rolling in the second period, potting his 4th of the season. He got help from Johnathon Mead and Nicholas Wereha. Buffalo attempted a comeback with a goal at the halfway mark, but that was then nullified by another Fabjan goal. The powerplay marker was assisted by Puley and Captain Connor Driscoll. It was 4-1 Menace after two periods of play.
The Sabres then got back on the board with a pair of third period goals. Aidan Puley was able to put a stop to it, scoring his 17th goal, assisted by Driscoll and Fabjan. Milton won 5-3.
In net for the Menace was Glen Crandall. He stopped 33 of 36 shots, giving him a .916% save percentage.
The Menace return to the ice on Wednesday, January 10th with a road game against the Trenton Golden Hawks. Puck drop at the Duncan Memorial Gardens is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
The next home game for the Menace is scheduled for Friday, January 19th. They host the Mississauga Chargers at the Milton Memorial Arena. Game-time starts at 7:30 p.m. Milton Menace home tickets for this OJHL season can be found here.
