We have the latest crime map update from the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS).

The map details when and where reported crimes took place in Milton. Between Tuesday, December 26th and Tuesday, January 2nd, there were at least 35 cases of crime took place. Here’s what we found:

Among the 35 potential cases of crime, ten were hit and run cases, six were theft cases of some kind, and two were outright robbery cases.

With the number of theft and theft from vehicle cases, we’ll recycle a message from the HRPS where it encourages residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:
- Ensure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure;
- Never leave spare keys in your vehicle;
- Remove valuables from plain view; and,
- Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
