A 90-year-old pedestrian is dead after being struck by a vehicle in Georgetown.
On Saturday, December 23rd, at roughly 7.20 a.m., the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) responded to a motor vehicle collision on Mountainview Road South, between Guelph Street and Sargent Road in Georgetown. The collision occurred between a pedestrian and an automobile.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Due to the nature of the collision, the HRPS Collision Reconstruction Unit attended and has taken carriage of the investigation. The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
Several witnesses remained at the collision scene; however, police would like to speak with anyone else who witnessed the collision (and did not remain on the scene) or may have dashcam video in the area at the time of the collision.
