Glen Eden is getting closer to opening to the public.
Earlier this week, the Milton ski hill announced that it’s using a new fan gun that can blow up to 250 feet. The gun launches water particles into the air. When it’s -2°C or colder, the water freezes and creates snow. This new gun increases the range for the ski hill, which means it can cover more ground (literally).
In order for Glen Eden to open to the public, temperatures need to remain low for a consistent period of time. In past years, opening date has come around Christmas. However, with a stretch of warm days in the next week, it might not happen until 2024.
In the meantime, the local ski hill will continue producing snow and covering the area.
We’ll let you when the official opening date is announced.
