There’s ANOTHER lottery winner in Halton!
After Jaime Rosa became a multi-millionaire, and Patrick Gelley added thousands to a retirement fund, Cindy Spotton of Burlington won a LOTTO 6/49 second prize worth $73,147.50. It was in the September 27th LOTTO 6/49 draw.
The 55-year-old says she was enticed to play LOTTO 6/49 because of the recent big Gold Ball draw.
“I discovered my win at the ticket checker while at the store,” she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her windfall. “I had to scan the ticket about 15 times to believe it!”
The retail worker says she was about to start work after discovering her win and she was in a complete haze.
“I even took the wrong exit to work,” she laughed. “I had to put the win out of my mind to get through the day.”
Spotton said her husband was shocked and thrilled when she told him about her big win.
“We have dreamt of this together – it was nice to make that dream a reality. It’s incredible to have my dreams come true!”
She plans to pay off bills, treat herself to an air fryer, and go on a vacation.
“We will have fun with this money,” she smiled.
The winning ticket was purchased at Friend’s Convenience on Guelph Line in Burlington.
