This is Fire Prevention Week (oct8-14) and New Tecumseth Fire Rescue is inviting the public in to see how they prepare for an emergency.
This years Theme is “Cooking safety starts with YOU! Pay attention to fire prevention!” – a theme which aims to educate everyone about what they can do to keep themselves and those around them safe while cooking.
Fire crews are hosting open houses at all 3 fire stations in New Tecumseth where residents can check out the trucks, play some games and go home with cool, yet safety themed prizes.
Tottenham’s Station 3 will be open to the public on Tuesday (oct10) Beeton’s Station 2 will open their doors on Wednesday (oct11) and Station 1 out of Alliston will host their open
house on Thursday (oct12).
The open house in Tottenham coincides with the grand re-opening of their newly renovated station.
The public is welcome to join New Tecumseth’s Mayor along with other dignitaries and check out the new digs beginning at 3:30pm.
