Anyone who wears a bra know just how expensive they can be.
The Tec We Gwill Womens Institiute is hosting a Bra Amnesty to collect new and gently used bras.
There will be “bra banks” or collection bins set up at the New Tecumseth Rec Centre in Alliston and Tottenham and the Bradford West Gwillimbury Rec Centres for the month of
October..
Once the items are collected, they are weighed and the Mammogram Departments at Stevenson Memorial Hospital and Southlake Regional Health Centre will receive a monetary donation based on how heavy they are.
The bras will then be sent to the Clothesline Clothing Store run by CONTACT Community Services in Alliston and Bradford.
The bra banks can be found in the women’s change rooms.
